Economic expert talks about making government smaller

“Privatization increases transparency, decreases abusive use of power in patron-client system, makes the competition fairer, and improves quality of goods and services,” said Dr. Sethaput Suthiwart-Narueput, Managing Partner of Advisor Company Limited, which provides expert advisory services in finance economics and business strategy.

In an interview for the book Common Sense Economics: What Everyone Should Know about Wealth and Prosperity, a publication put together by the Friedrich Nauman Foundation for Freedom (FNF) Thailand, Atlas Network, and Thailand Future Foundation, Sethaput points out that nowadays the size and role of state is larger than what people might imagine. “The state has many other instruments to intervene and control the economic system.
